Thompson-Boling Assembly Center and Arena is a multi-purpose facility featuring an official seating capacity of 24,535. The riverfront arena is an ideal venue for diverse events, conventions and meetings.

Entrances to the building are located on the east and west ends, with protection from the elements provided by tucking the doors under the structure. There are a total of 132 entrance doors to the arena.

A continuous-ring concourse encircles the building, allowing entrance to large restrooms, concession areas and portals leading to the arena.

The floor level provides access to dressing rooms, press work areas and storage rooms. The arena contains more than 411,000 square feet of floor space.

Thompson-Boling has hosted many sporting events, concert tours and conventions, including the 1996 Coca-Cola National Gymnastics Championships, Southeast Regional Finals of the 1994 NCAA Tournament, 1990 NCAA Women's Final Four, Advanced Training Institute in America, Odyssey of the Mind and Britt Motivation. This modern arena has drawn rave reviews from meeting planners, event organizers and the media.
