About Knoxville is privately owned by Image Builders. Its CEO is Jeaneane Payne (formerly Jeaneane Rhodes), a native Knoxvillian.

Jeaneane is a graduate of Central High School. She attended The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Southern Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.

She has a sales background with the Hyatt Regency Orlando and The Mountain Press, Sevierville, Tennessee. She also has a background as a legal assistant in Knoxville. Jeaneane formerly published The Highlander Herald in the Smoky Mountains and The Knoxville Observer in Knoxville.

She established Image Builders in 1995. She has a daughter, Rebecca Disque, who graduated from Bearden High School in 2002, and three office dogs named Harvey, Blue, and Goofy.
