Sevierville is located in Sevier County just 10 miles from Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is surrounded by Knoxville, Dandridge, and Pigeon Forge. Sevierville serves as a connector between Knoxville and the Appalachian towns in the Smoky Mountain region.

Sevierville is the home of Dolly Parton, Dollywood Theme Park, and Dolly's Splash Country. Almost 50% of businesses in Sevierville are linked to tourism. There are more than 3,000 accommodation facilities providing lodging for approximately 40,000 visitors annually, including hotels and motels, condo rentals, and cabins.
